Gary "Bryan" Crocker Jr. served as an Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County (NC). During that time, he developed a true appreciation for the work and sacrifices made by prosecutors and law-enforcement officials. At the time of his passing it was his request that fund a be created to help those individuals and their families that tirelessly serve the community. Obituary

Gary Bryan Crocker, Jr., March 4, 1971 - November 16, 2015, was born in Washington, D.C. and was raised in Arlington, VA. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1993 and Tulane Law School in 1996. He started his career as a public defender, in Charlotte, and began working in the District Attorney's office in 2002. He was an outstanding trial lawyer and was known for being fair, loyal, and incredibly supportive of his colleagues. He was beloved by the legal community and the police force and was respected by all who knew him. He was an avid traveler, arts patron, and community leader, but most will remember him for being an amazing friend who would do anything to help others. He is survived by his wife, Sara Carter Crocker, his parents Diane and Gary Crocker, and his sister Elizabeth Crocker. His final wish was to create a memorial fund to help others in need.
